The Research Poster Exhibition is co-organized by the CUHK Library, the Graduate School and the Independent Learning Centre (ILC). It is organized annually for all current CUHK postgraduate students to showcase their research work in the form of posters.

The event aims at facilitating postgraduate students to present their research to the broader CUHK community, and providing participants opportunities to enhance their poster presentation skills. The Oral Presentations and Award Ceremony will be held on 17 May 2023 (Wed).

Features :

• CUHK postgraduate students are invited to submit their research poster abstracts in response to our call that will be announced usually around February/March.
• Research posters in different disciplines are welcome.
• Selected research posters will be displayed in the University Library during the exhibition period. Electronic posters may also be displayed on an online platform.
• Participants will be invited to present their research content orally to a panel of judges. Prizes will be awarded to the best poster presentations.

Key Dates for Entry :

• Poster abstract submission : Complete the Online Submission Form
  Deadline for abstract submission : 24 Mar 2023 (Fri)
• Notification of results : 14 Apr 2023 (Fri)
• Deadline for poster submission : 5 May 2023 (Fri)
  Library will take care of poster printing and installation of the Exhibition.

Poster Guidelines, Oral Presentation and Assessment Criteria :

• Poster Abstracts Guidelines :
  • The poster should present contents for the participants’ own research.
  • All poster abstracts, maximum 500 words, from interested postgraduates should be submitted via the Online Submission Form on or before 24 Mar 2023.
  • Abstracts of selected submissions may be included in Exhibition promotional materials and brochure.
  • Abstracts of research presented in other events may also be submitted for selection consideration, but priority will be given to research not presented elsewhere.

• Poster Presentation :
  • Each participant will have three-minute presentation time followed by a two-minute Q & A time to answer questions from the judges.
