After installing the plug-in, an icon will be displayed in your browser and a download link to the OA version will be provided if available. The services are provided by different organizations and may have slightly different coverage.

• Core Discovery is a not-for-profit service provided by the Open University in UK and Jisc.

• Kopernio is developed by the Web of Science Group

• Open Access Button is supported by Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) 

• Unpaywall is provided by Our Research, a not-for-profit organization

• Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is an online directory that indexes open access peer-review journals.

• Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) is an online directory that indexes open access books.

Search Tool

• Core is a search tool for open access full texts from different publishers and repositories around the world.

Repository

• PubMed Central (PMC) provides full texts of publications in biomedical and life sciences journals for free.

• To find theses and dissertations of the universities in Hong Kong

• EThOS is the UK’s national thesis service which aims to maximise the visibility and availability of the UK’s doctoral research theses.
