WOH Pei Yee Peggy 和佩儀 Major: PhD (Public Health), MSc (Microbiology), BSc (Microbiology) Bonjour everybody and welcome to CU! This is Peggy, currently a Research Associate at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics. I received my doctorate in Public Health (2020) from CUHK, MSc (2016) and BSc (2012) in Microbiology from University of Malaya, Malaysia. CU is a fantastic place that offer tons of opportunities for students to explore and enhance study or research learning locally and abroad. Take me as an example, along my PhD journey, I was a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley (Jan-Mar 2020) under CUHK Global Scholarship for Research Excellence, awardee for One Health Fellowship by World One Health Congress, Edinburg Scotland (30 Oct-3 Nov 2020), awardee for Reaching Out Award from HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund 2019/2020, CU delegates for United Nation University Scholar Leadership Symposium Nation in Bangkok 2018 and Kuala Lumpur 2019, CU second runner up team for Cross-Strait and Hong Kong Green University Alliance Student Green Creative Camp Team (12-18 July 2019) and many more! Apart from research and extra-curriculum, I am a super outdoor person. Riding bike to work is my cardio-friend. Gym workout is my best soulmate. Basketball is my loyal boyfriend. So come and join me! Something new I want to try is flying in the sky~ skydiving, parachuting and bungee jumping. One item I’ll never part with is food because it keeps me happy. ‘YOLO’ Life is too short to regret!
