The COVID-19 disease outbreak has turned into a pandemic which has caused great anxiety in the community. In the interview “Ten minutes with Dr. Hong FUNG, CEO, Chinese University of Hong Kong Medical Centre”, Dr. Hong FUNG shared how dirty team and clean team set up in the Prince of Wales Hospital. It was a model to rotate teams on and off the infected wards to prevent staff from getting burn-out or exposed too long under high-risk environment. Furthermore, he mentioned that being a leader in this critical moment, timely and candid communication was crucial for building trust and solidarity. As a senior executive, he showed support to colleagues by being honest with them, empathizing with their difficulties, and walking through the hardship with them.
