The Hong Kong Hub of Paediatric Excellence (HK HOPE) seeks to advance both physical and psychosocial well-being of children through the integration of world-class basic, translational and clinical research aimed at fostering the use of precision medicine for the treatment of paediatric diseases. As its name suggests, this Institute is meant to give HOPE to children and their families.

Abstract

CUHK launched the Hong Kong Hub of Paediatric Excellence (HK HOPE), a University-level research institute. Comprised of biomedical scientists, geneticists, bioinformaticians, engineers, psychologists and linguists from CUHK as well as experts from leading international institutions, HK HOPE is designed to foster synergistic collaborations among experts from different disciplines. Fields of interest include Paediatric Oncology and Neonatology, Microbiome and Child Health, Genetics and Genomics, Undiagnosed Disease Network, and Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine.
