Centre for Quantitative Trading
Overview
The Centre for Quantitative Trading (CQT) is established in 2021, and housed within the Department of Finance at CUHK Business School. CQT acts as a platform to foster links between academic researchers and industry practitioners for the development of quantitative investing strategies and the enhancement of trading structure designed to improve market quality and efficiency.
Mission
- To contribute to the development and practical applications of quantitative investment strategies.
- To support studies on market microstructure issues (e.g., market structure and design, price formation and price discovery, transaction cost, information, and disclosure) to improve market quality and efficiency, and market maker and investor behaviour)
- To transfer knowledge generated from our research activities to academic researchers, industry practitioners, and policymakers.
- To foster local and international collaboration with academics and industry practitioners at other institutions and financial firms.
- To disseminate research outcomes of the Centre and related knowledge to a broader audience, to deepen the research impact of the research activities.
