Call for Applications: ACU Summer School 2023 (Deadline: 30 January 2023)
The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is inviting applications for the ACU Summer School 2023 to be held at Stellenbosch University, South Africa under the theme of ‘Truth and reconciliation: from apartheid to transitional justice’.
The event will bring together 40 students from ACU member universities, including CUHK, for a week of lectures, discussions and group project work.

Objectives and activities | The course provides an opportunity for students to learn about the political, social and economic forces that shaped 20th Century South African politics.
The course will feature a field-trip to Robben Island prison, where Nelson Mandela and other anti-apartheid campaigners were jailed. Outside of the classroom, students can take part in social activities such as games nights and film screenings to explore historically significant events in an open, welcoming, inter-cultural environment. |

Application | Interested students should first register for a MyACU account and log in to the system to access the application form. Students are required to upload a detailed academic reference and complete the application form by 30 January 2023, 19:00 HKT. Applicants will be contacted by the ACU by end of March 2023.
