WS Teacher’s Message #5

Dear students,

I was asked to write a message to students at the beginning of this semester and have been thinking about what to write since then.  I surfed the message corner and find it is a place where teachers share their thought and experience.

Having been working for several years as an advisor who is designated to help students with academic problems, I would like to take this opportunity to urge students to seek help if in need.  Your department, college and the office of student affairs have great people, great team who can help you to get through the difficult times.  We know things have been hard lately.  Hardly anything is the same as it was just several years ago.  However, it is not the end of the world.  People go through all kinds of struggles in different periods of time.  Sometimes we simply cannot get what we want but we have to forgive ourselves for just doing the best we can. Life will be much easier if you look for how much progress can be made rather than perfection.  Believe it or not, tough times will then go away quickly and dissolve into easier times. I wish you all great success in life.
