RESEARCH

Securing a stable and reliable supply of energy and creating a pollution-free and healthy living environment are goals that all societies strive to attain. Yet these goals seem to be mutually exclusive. Since the problems of global warming, climate change, and energy security are of increasing concern worldwide, the efficient and effective use of energy and the conservation of energy for sustainable development, and the management of health risks in the face of escalating natural disasters brought about by extreme weather conditions have attracted a great deal of public attention and research. The Belt and Road Initiative was launched to promote regional development and integration. The key goals include the construction of infrastructure and allocation of resources. Therefore, efforts will be made to study how promoting greater environmental protection via energy cooperation and sustainable development among Belt and Road countries and regions, while also managing the risks, can be achieved. Research will also be conducted on internationally debated issues concerning the management of disaster health risks, the regulation of carbon emissions, and on ways of promoting an environmentally friendly way of life.
