GLOBE is a pioneering leader in business education at an international level. A fusion of firsthand exploration and intellectual learning, this program aims at equipping students with a globalized mindset and strong business sense. This summer, new GLOBE students explored Singapore, a dynamic city, on a five-day orientation trip during which they visited four prominent firms:
The GLOBE students had a refreshing experience at Shell Singapore, the third largest refinery in the world. The morning at Shell started with a presentation on history and daily work of this energy giant. In merely a century of revolutionary development, Shell Group is now the leading pioneer in the field, adopting a diversified business portfolio and vertically integrated value chain. Shell is also the largest foreign investor in Singapore and it is fully supported by the Singaporean government. In order to know the daily operation of this well-planned refinery, the GLOBE students went on a tour around the site during which the Shell representative explained the refining process in details. He was also more than willing to answer the GLOBE students' questions on Shell's structure, role of marketing, etcetera. The whole visit was, indeed, very eye-opening.

It tries different means to maintain a balance between keeping it traditions and bringing about innovations. The enthusiastic speaker of Eu Yan Sang also explained the importance of customer-oriented approach in doing business, which is the company's key of success.
