Li Jingquan 李井泉 (1908-1989) was one of the key political figures of Sichuan province. He became a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in 1954, member of the Eight CCP Central Committee in 1956, and member of the National People's Congress in 1965. He was attacked by the Red Guards in 1967, and successively dismissed from all his functions. He made his comeback to the political scene in 1973.
