4. As advised by the Faculty of Medicine, in any cases of unforeseen circumstances, these awardees will NOT be asked to refund even if they fail to choose “Jacobson Pharma Group” for their Industrial Pharmacy Clerkship during their fourth year of Pharmacy study.

  • Students should demonstrate strong leadership abilities during their participation in extra-curricular activities.
  • Students are required to submit an essay to illustrate their strong sense of commitment to the Pharmacy profession in Hong Kong, particularly the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

2. Priority will be given to students with financial need.

3. The nominations can be made by the Pharmacy students themselves or by recommendations of academic staff.

4. Applicants will be interviewed by a panel comprising staff from the School of Pharmacy and/or a representative from the donor.

  • For Pharmacy students who have completed PHA2000 level courses of the B.Pharm. Programme with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above.
  • Students have active participation in various activities organised by the School of Pharmacy and/or the three pharmacy professional societies / associations.
  • Students consistently and satisfactorily demonstrated the attitude, the ability and the commitment to promote the pharmacy profession as a whole to the public and to the fellow students.

2. The nominations can be made by the Pharmacy students themselves or from the School of Pharmacy or from the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Hong Kong.

3. A panel consisting of at least one Pharmacy teaching staff from the School of Pharmacy, CUHK and one representative nominated by the President of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Hong Kong will select the recipient for the award.

4. Supporting Document: A list of activities organized by the School of Pharmacy and/or pharmacy professional societies / associations that the nominee has participated in.

4. Administrative Procedures

  • PHA will invite applications and will conduct selection interview.  The panel of the selection interview will comprise two representatives of PHA and the donor or his representative.
  • PHA will send via the Faculty of Medicine the particulars of the selected candidate to OAFA for onward transmission to donor for information.
  • OAFA will inform the successful candidates of the award of Scholarship.
  • OAFA will arrange payment to the awardees upon their submission of proofs on successful enrollment to the overseas exchange activity to OAFA.
  • PHA will send the reports submitted by the awardees to the donor.
