CUHK Gains Prominence in World Rankings
CUHK is ranked the 3rd most international university in the world by THE.
CUHK is ranked among the world’s elite for its international profile, according to the Most International Universities in the World 2021 by Times Higher Education (THE). The University has leaped two places forward in the table from 5th to 3rd this year, reflecting its successful internationalisation efforts. In addition to a university’s international reputation, this ranking takes into account the proportions of international students, international staff, and journal publications with at least one international co-author.
The University is also well ranked in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021, with 19 subjects placed at the world’s top 50. The best performing subject is communication and media studies, climbing four places to become the world’s 11th best. Other subjects such as anthropology, geography, linguistics, and medicine have also made notable improvements from last year.
