College member, Professor Liu Renbao of the Department of Physics, received the 2022 Willis E Lamb Award for Laser Science and Quantum Optics, offered by The Winter Colloquium on the Physics of Quantum Electronics (PQE), in recognition of his seminal contributions to spin decoherence and quantum sensing. This award was established by The Winter Colloquium on the Physics of Quantum Electronics (PQE) in 1998. It named after the late Willis E Lamb, Jr, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Physics (1955). Award is presented to scientist with distinct contributions to the fields of laser science and quantum optics every year.
