Dane’s 21-day quarantine did not dampen enthusiasm for time in Hong Kong
August has been enjoying the easily accessible nature in Hong Kong.
This term CUHK welcomed a group of 34 students from the Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, who are studying in the Global Learning Opportunities in Business Education (GLOBE) programme. To ensure a rewarding learning experience for these exchange students in Hong Kong amid the pandemic, the Office of Academic Links has offered various support and organised a host of online social activities for the students.

August Solliv, one of the exchange students from CBS, is excited about his experience at CUHK. ‘I did not dream of starting my exchange with a 3-week quarantine upon arrival in Hong Kong. However, I have had much fun upon completion of the quarantine. I have explored new places in Hong Kong every single day and interacted with both local and international students during and beyond classes. I have learned things such as how to eat properly with chopsticks as well as how different working mentalities can be in different parts of the world. These experiences have made my exchange exceptional even during the pandemic! My exchange has so far focused on getting to know Hong Kong through outdoor experiences as Hong Kong is much more than an international financial hub and has some of the most beautiful sceneries that I have ever seen. I long to discover other parts of Hong Kong in the upcoming months!’
August is keen to explore every corner in Hong Kong.
