APRU Asia Pacific Women in Leadership Mentoring Program 2022–23

The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) to which CUHK is a member is inviting nominations for mentees for the Asia Pacific Women in Leadership (APWiL) Mentoring Program 2022–23.

Since its inception in 2020–21, the program has been very well received by the mentors and mentees from across the APRU network. Four mentors and four mentees from CUHK have taken part in the program so far.

This year, the program will pair a mentor and mentee from 25 participating APRU institutions on a year-long program focusing on empowerment, professional growth and development in order to expand the pipeline of aspiring women leaders. Mentors and mentees will identify goals and meet virtually, as well as join a cohort of mentor/mentee pairs in the APRU network and participate in workshops throughout the year. Topics for discussion may focus on leadership, empowerment, goals, work/life balance and/or other issues pertaining to gender equity and leadership. Matching of mentors and mentees will be arranged by APRU based on factors including the mentee’s goals and mentor’s areas of expertise, their research fields, regional diversity, and professional and life experiences.
