WS Teacher’s Message #6

Dear LWS Students,

It has a been an absolute privilege to be a part of CUHK, and with LWS College. At the School of Architecture, I often get to spend a great amount of time devoted to student development, with a focus on helping refine technical skills and building up confidence in our special design approach. One message that resonates across all disciplines, that I can share with you is about planning, developing, and designing your career paths. Whether you are in undergraduate or graduate studies, it is very important that you take the time to reflect on things that you have done and set goals for your future. Ask yourselves, “What’s next?” and “When I get there, what questions do I want to ask? What challenges might I face? and How can I best prepare to meet them physically and mentally?” These questions may become more refined or even change – but setting goals will help you craft a life and career of your own. And above all, remember to have fun, laugh, and enjoy learning, exploring, practicing, and reflecting on whatever it is that interests you.
