In order to promote STEAM (science, technology, engineering, humanities and mathematics) education, Prof. Lam Hon-Ming, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology, and Dr. Lau Kwok-Chi Victor, Professional Consultant of Department of Curriculum and Instruction, obtained HK$2.2M grants from the Quality Education Fund of Education Bureau and support from Shine Tak Foundation. In conjunction with Big Education Platform, they will launch a STEAM Education Activity Program-“STEAM @ Soybean” in February this year. The program will be held for 3 years and it is expected that there will be 30 to 40 local secondary schools, about 900 to 1,200 students participate.
