虚拟地理环境学术沙龙 (VGE Salon)

虚拟地理环境能够让人们在计算机及网络所产生的三维动态环境中，感受和认知自然与人文要素的时空关系，利用定量分析与数值模拟方法以及交互协同技术，对地理系统进行分析、模拟、再现和预测，从而实现对地理规律的综合探索。

By supporting geo-visualization, geo-simulation, geo-collaboration, and human participation, VGEs are a kind of typical virtual environment built for geographic research with the objective of providing open, computer-based geographic environments corresponding to the geographic scenarios in the physical world, to allow users to “feel it in person” using multi-channel interactive technologies, and “know it beyond reality” through geo-simulation and geo-collaborative experiments.
