Farewell to Professor Wong!
Prof. Wong Wing Shing stepped down from mastership of S.H. Ho College on 1 August, 2022. Staff members of the College gathered to bid him a fond farewell on 19 July. A party was held on Chan Chun Ha Hall to thank Prof. Wong’s dedications and contributions to the College over the challenging years. The staff members prepared a video clip which reminisces Prof. Wong’s unforgettable moments since he joined the College as one of the members in the Planning Committee in 2006. They also presented a flower bouquet and a card to Prof. and Mrs. Wong as gifts.
Prof. Wong expressed his gratitude in his remarks. “After some years, I found that I really settle in this home. It is an invaluable experience to have worked with you and made it through all the obstacles. I look forward to more flourishing growth of the College. The College will keep upholding its education mission in the future.”
In the same occasion, Prof. Wong presented Long Service Awards to six staff members in recognition of their loyal service to the College for more than a decade. The party was followed by group photo-taking by the Home sculpture on the Lawn and a vegetarian dinner hosted by Prof. and Mrs. Wong.
Prof. Wong has been appointed as Honorary Fellow of the College with effect from 1 August, 2022 so that his fellowship with the College will continue in the years to come. Once again, the College would like to take this opportunity to wish Prof. Wong a happy retirement and the best of health and happiness on his next chapter in life.
