The Audio Description Association (Hong Kong) [aka. AuDeAHK], founded in 2015, is the first and only professional organisation in Hong Kong and Mainland China that provides comprehensive audio description (AD) training and services. AuDeAHK is devoted to raising the standard and profile of AD in Hong Kong; offering professional programmes to train audio-describers; improving information accessibility and promoting social inclusion.
AuDeAHK offers a wide array of AD services, covering films, TV programmes, picturebooks, performances, exhibitions, visits, sports and outdoor activities, etc. and provides professional consulting services. In recent years, AuDeAHK is dedicated to promoting AD for picturebooks to increase reading accessibility and has developed and published the first-ever multisensory picturebook with audio description: “The Gift Beyond”.
