On Kung Fu and Bruce Lee

On 8 November, Morningside College hosted a Writers’ Series speaker event with Mr. Matthew Polly, author of Bruce Lee: A Life (2018), the first biography of Bruce Lee in English. Mr. Polly talked to Morningside students about the life of Bruce Lee, from his childhood to his stardom, from his family background to his mastery of the martial arts. During Q&A, Polly talked about his own experience as a martial artist learning kung fu in Henan’s Shaolin Temple and about the process of writing the biography. The College also raffled off signed copies of Mr. Polly's biography of Bruce Lee to talk attendees. The event was co-organised with the Hong Kong International Literary Festival.
