What is it?

This internship program is designed for CU Physics undergraduates to work as full-time student trainees in the Hong Kong Observatory in Jan-Dec, 2017 (12 months).



Who are eligible to apply?

If you are a PHY undergraduate in the year 2016-17, you are eligible to apply. You should also have a good academic record and are interested in various areas of meteorology, for example, numerical weather forecast. We look for motivated students who have a solid physics background, who are independent, creative, and can get along well with others.



How about stipend?

Successful applicants will work on project for 12 months normally and will receive a scholarship at a rate of HK$9,600 per month.

Partcipants' responsibilities

  1. To comply with and complete any jobs as assigned by supervisors in the HKO.
  2. Each participant is required to give both an oral and a written report at the end of each semester.
