Event Highlight | Grant Writing Workshop and Research Data Management Workshop for GRF and ECS 2023/2024 Exercise
Two workshops were successfully held for the GRF and ECS 2023/2024 Exercise.
Grant Writing Workshop
Over 150 staff members and students gathered virtually at the Grant Writing Workshop held on 14 September 2022 to gain insights about How to be Successful in Obtaining GRF/ECS Grants.
In the opening remarks, Professor Mai Har SHAM (Pro-Vice-Chancellor/Vice-President (Research)) shared with colleagues the performance of CUHK in the RGC grants in recent years, highlighted the new features of the GRF/ECS in the 2023/2024 exercise, and introduced the available resources. Professor Nathalie WONG (Professor, Faculty of Medicine; Former RGC Subject Panel Member (Biology & Medicine)) shared the insights from the perspective of a Panel Reviewer. Professor Quan LI (Professor, Faculty of Science) and Professor Wicky Wai-kit TSE (Associate Professor, Faculty of Arts) shared their first-hand successful grant-writing experience.

Research Data Management Workshop
ORKTS and the CUHK Library co-organized the Research Data Management (RDM) Workshop for GRF and ECS 2023/2024 Exercise virtually on 22 September 2022. Dr Wendy Hoi-yan WONG (Research Data Librarian, CUHK Library) introduced the RDM at CUHK, the upcoming trend of Data Management Plan (DMP) and the available resources for creating the DMP and deposit of research data.
