New Asia College / Yale University Summer Community Service Exchange

The program is organised jointly by New Asia College and the Yale-China Association. The program aims to bring students from the 2 places for a cultural exchange and achieve an understanding of different approaches to community services at the 2 different regions.

Application and selections will be conducted in second semester. Selected New Asia students spend four weeks working as interns in various social service agencies in the States in partnership with the Yale students. In late June/early July, all students will return to Hong Kong for the second part of internship training for four weeks in similar social service agencies. The students need to submit their reports on their service experience to both institutions one month after the completion of the training in Hong Kong.

The internship training in the social services agencies is on a voluntary basis. The College subsidizes travel allowance, insurance and living allowance for the participating students.
