Postgraduate Studentships

Postgraduate Studentships (PGS's) are available for most full-time students registered for the programme. PGS's are normally enough to cover the tuition and basic living expenses. Students awarded PGS's will receive stipends in return for assisting in the teaching and research work of the Department.

There are basically two types of PGS's. The first type is funded by the Department. In this case, the student can choose any professor in the Department as his/her supervisor, provided that the chosen professor is also willing to supervise the student. The second type is funded by research grants or related funding. In this case, the grant owner would decide the supervisor of the student.

NOTE: Preference will be given to PhD candidate.
