- Prof. Manoj Kumar Karmakar, associate professor in the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, has been appointed as a visiting professor of School of Medicine at Sichuan University for two years from 12 May 2011.
- Prof. Hui Shu-cheong David, professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, has been re-appointed by the Secretary for Food and Health as a deputy co-chair of the Grant Review Board for two years from 1 October 2011 and re-appointed by the Hong Kong College of Physicians as a member of the Education and Accreditation Committee for two years from 1 July 2011.
