International Conferences * The Japan Study Programme of the Centre for Contemporary Asian Studies hosted an i n t e r na t i onal conference on ' Ta i wan ' s Economy and Regiona l Interactions' on 16th and 17th January. * The Overseas Chinese Archives of the Centre for Contemporary Asian Studies organized an international conference on 'Chinese Banking in the Asia-Pacific Region' on 22nd and 23rd February. * The University's Hong Kong Centre of Sports Medicine and Sports Science, and the Department of Extramural Studies, together with the Hong Kong Association of Sports Med i c i ne and Sports Science, the Hong Kong College of General Practitioners, the Amateur Sports Federation of Hong Kong, and the Jubilee Sports Centre jointly organized the seventh annual sports medicine conference on 'Development of Sports Culture and Primary Care of the Athletes' on 25th March.
