Bulletin Spring‧Summer 2006
Chinese University Bulletin Spring • Summer 2006 I n the early 1970s, there was only one public museum in Hong Kong — the City Museum and Art Gallery located at the high block of the Hong Kong City Hall. The Museum evolved into two separate units — the art and the history — and in 1991, the Museum of Art took over its present premises in Tsimshatsui. The other museum at the time, the Han Tomb Museum in Lei Cheng Uk, specialized in items excavated from the Han tomb discovered in Lei Cheng Uk.
