Biography

Prof. Poon is a registered medical specialist in Community Medicine in Hong Kong. He has experience in practising public health medicine in the Department of Health for more than 10 years. He completed the Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP) of Hong Kong in 2015. Prof. Poon also had chance to work in the Regional Office of the Western Pacific (WPRO) of World Health Organization (WHO) in Manila and attach to the Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards (CRCE) of Public Health England in Oxford. He is also a trainer for Public Health Medicine specialist trainees of the Hong Kong College of Community Medicine. He started to work as a clinical assistant professor in the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2020.
