38 研 究 Research 大學一直以開明的態度和政策來推動研 究，務求做到既博廣又專精。中大的研究 工作範疇甚廣，橫向包括各院系開辦的 科目，縱向整合教員的研究及教學， 同時涵蓋上游的高尖研究和中游的 技術開發。 The University has always adopted a liberal policy on research undertakings that allows for breadth and depth. Research activities at CUHK cover dimensions laterally to encompass all subjects that are offered at CUHK, vertically to integrate staff research with teaching, and longitudinally to range from upstream research to midstream development.
