It is the fulfilment of the human imperative for shelter and celebration of life by creating places of gathering, work, and solitude. The programme in architecture is designed to provide education in general and preparation for professional work as an architect in particular. Students are encouraged to enrich their educational experience by exploring lateral relationships with other subjects and disciplines as well as through independent study and experience of other cultures. The core of studies consists of design in four studios in additional to courses in four subject areas. The studios are defined in terms of four primary themes: habitation, urbanization, tectonics, and technics. The courses in four subject areas concern design, humanities, technology, and professional practice.
