简历
I obtained my Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Nursing degree in 2005 at the Muhimbili University College of Health and Allied Sciences, by then a constituent college of the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and later, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSc in Nursing Critical Care and Trauma) from the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in 2015.
During my undergraduate studies, I achieved five awards for excellence in performance; one award for best performance during the first year of study; and four awards for best performance during my final year. As a best performer, I was awarded an exchange programme scholarship to study a three-month programme, ‘Culture and Health’ and ‘Primary Health Care’ at the Uppsala University, Sweden in 2007, for all of which I achieved grade A scores. After my master’s studies, I attended and presented my research dissertation in the 4th MUHAS Scientific Conference in 2016.
After completion of my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, I offered public services to Tanzanians, including clinical nursing services (2006-2008), sexual and reproductive health services to the community and in-school youths (2006-2008), collaboration with the Ministry of Health for curriculum development and capacity building to tutors of middle level cadres of health care in Tanzania (2008-2017), which included the provision of technical guidance on capacity assessment of health training institutions for eligibility to enroll students for scaling up community-based health programmes. From 2011 to 2017, I was doing teaching and research work at the School of Nursing, The University of Dodoma.
I am grateful that through the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme with the Nethersole School of Nursing at CUHK, I will be able to further my potentials in research, nursing career and education, thereby providing more valuable contributions to nursing research and body of knowledge, and ultimately bringing impact to the development of my home country and to the world.
