Dr. Chaoran Huang won the Optica 20th Anniversary Challenge Award.
She will receive a $100,000 USD grant from the Optica Foundation to develop her research on integrated photonic neuromorphic processor enabled intelligent, energy-efficient signal processing for the next-generation communication systems.

Our new paper has been published in the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics.
We demonstrated using silicon photonic neural networks to process intra- and inter-channel distortions in WDM optical communication systems. Congratulations, Benshan and all the other authors!
