Our research focuses on wide range of sleep disorders across different age groups.

CUHK named Sleep Assessment Unit after Li Chiu Kong Family in appreciation of the support and generous donation from Mr. Li Yiu-Kwong, David. The donation supports the development of the research and education of the Sleep Assessment unit.

WELCOME TO SLEEP ASSESSMENT UNIT

Sleep Assessment Unit is established in 1986 and currently providing services at Shatin Hospital and is the first of its kind in Hong Kong. SAU conducts sleep assessment for patients and manages a broad spectrum of sleep disorders in adults and children.

SAU contains 4 beds and 1 private bedroom, and is equipped with modern equipment for digital polysomnography.

Sleep Disorders

Sleep disorders are a group of conditions that affect our sleep, which could lead to an array of negative consequences to our health and general well-being. Our research focuses on broad spectrum of sleep disorders including REM sleep behaviour disorder, Obstructive Sleep Apnea and insomnia etc.
