College Affiliated Administrative Staff

Sally CHING joined the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of the University as a Departmental Manager in 2004; she took up the position of Assistant Registrar in the Academic and Quality Section of the Registry in 2007, and is currently the Senior Assistant Registrar (Head of Section).  Sally has also held supervisory positions in various organizations, including the Hong Kong Children and Youth Services, Hong Kong Baptist University , Employees Retraining Board and the HKSAR Government, gaining rich and broad experience in committee servicing, academic exchange, course administration, training and development, and staff and project management. 

During her tenure at the University, Sally has provided secretariat and administrative support to the Board of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (2004–2007), the Senate Committee on Interdisciplinary Programmes (2007–2008), the Working Group on Language Enhancement (2007), the Senate Committee on Teaching and Learning (2007), the Senate Committee on Student Discipline (2007–), the Senate Academic Planning Committee (2007–), the Senate (2007–) and a number of ad hoc committees of the University.  Sally has also been a member of the CUSIS Project Management Group and of the Go-live Task Force (2009–2010).
