The 13th Challenge Cup was held at the SooChow University on 13th- 17th, October, 2013. The bi-annual Challenge Cup is considered the premier national competition of extra-curricular technological projects of university students. Students of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) swept again the 13th Challenge Cup by winning the Hong Kong and Macau Cup, the sixth gold cup CUHK has got in six consecutive competitions.
All the six projects by CUHK having entered into the competition were highly acclaimed. SIU Wing Oi and TAI Tsz Wai from the CSE department won the Third Prize with “Automatic Chord Identification in Music”.
Automatic Chord Identification in Music – The Chord Analyzer is a chord analyzer, which is a Windows program that uses to analyze the harmonies inside sound tracks.
