QUALITY EDUCATION FUND THEMATIC NETWORK (QTN) ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE (PRIMARY) 2017/18

PROJECT WRITING MODULE
  • 5 Core Schools joined the project in the 2017/18 implementation year to try out and develop the Project Writing module of the resource package. Intensive training and support on the teaching strategies as well as the adaptation of the resource package are provided by the CUHK QTN project team through professional development workshops, lesson observations, co-planning meetings, and post-lesson observation feedback sessions.

DRAMA MODULE
  • 4 Core Schools were recruited in the 2016/17 implementation year to try out and develop the Drama module of the resource package. The CUHK QTN project team provided professional support to the teachers including professional development workshops, on-site lesson co-planning meetings, lesson observations, feedback sessions, as well as the development of school-based teaching and learning materials for adopting drama in the English curriculum.
     

  • For the 2017/18 implementation year, four Partner Schools joined the project. With the professional support of the CUHK QTN project team, Core Schools will share their good practices with the Partner Schools, consolidate and further develop the Drama module of the resource package while Partner Schools will try out and develop the Drama module.

E-LEARNING MODULE
  • 4 Core Schools were recruited in the 2015/16 implementation year to try out and develop the e-Learning module of the resource package. Intensive training and support on the teaching strategies as well as the adaptation of the resource package are provided by the CUHK QTN project team through professional development workshops, lesson observations, co-planning meetings, and post-lesson observation feedback sessions.  
     

  • In the fourth implementation year (2016/17), for the e-Learning module, the Core Schools shared their good practices developed in 2015/16 with the Partner Schools. Besides, the Core Schools continued to consolidate the e-Learning module while the Partner Schools tried out, adapted and developed their school-based learning and teaching materials of the module.
     

  • For the 2017/18 implementation year, eighteen Networking Schools joined the project. Core Schools and Partner Schools will share good practices and successful experience with the Networking Schools. Networking Schools will try out and develop the e-Learning module of the resource package to cater for the needs of the school.
