Objectives:

  • To review recent advances in quantum mechanics, especially its applications in information technology, materials science, chemistry, bioscience and life science
  • To conduct in-depth exchange and discussions on quantum mechanics teaching.

Registration Date:

December 13, 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Registration venue is at Room G25, G/F., Science Centre North Block, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). In the same afternoon there will be a poster session. After arrival in Hong Kong, participants may come to the CUHK to register first and then attend the poster session. A reception counter will be set outside the University Railway Station to assist participants to go to the venue. Coaches will be arranged to take the participants to the hotels to check in around 6:30 pm.

 
 

Abstract Submission Deadline:

October 31 (Form of presentation will be determined by the Academic Committee and the Organizing Committee.)

 
 

Conference Fee:

HKD600 per person (fee includes breakfasts, lunches, tea breaks, banquet, souvenir and local transportation). Students and retired teachers can send email to pyho@phy.cuhk.edu.hk to apply for exemption.

 
 

Sponsorship:

HKD800 per person for mainland participants (HKD200 will be given to mainland participants after the deduction of conference fee.)

 
 

Banquet:

December 14 evening; fee is HKD300 per person. (Fee for mainland participants is already included in conference fee.)

 
 

Local Tour:

December 16. A self-paid tour will be arranged by local travel agency. Details can be obtained from the reception counter upon registration.

 
 

Housing:

Reservation, amendment or cancellation deadline: November 5.

 
 

Remarks:

  1. Due to full booking of rooms in NTT International House on the night of December 13, some participants will be arranged to stay in Regal Riverside Hotel on that night and share the room with another participant.   2. 2005 Annual Meeting of National University and College Association of Quantum Mechanics will be held during the Conference.
