LI Yisen (李逸森)
PhD (2017) in Physics
Supervised by Prof. Wu Yilin
Education:
B.S. in Physics Beijing Normal University, 2013–2017
Ph.D. candidate, Department of Physics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, 2017–present
Research Interest:
L-form bacteria, known as cell wall-deficient (CWD) bacteria, have a natural resistance to wall-target antibiotic since they lack cell walls. Their morphology varies a lot due to the lack of a cell wall envelope. As a result, L-forms can be seen as active droplets to study nonequilibrium active matter physics.
Research and Professional Experience:
Educational practice, Course: physics, XIAMEN HAICANG SCHOOL AFFILIATED TO BEIJING NORMAL UNIVERSITY, Oct 2016
Teaching assistant, Course: General Physics for Engineers, CUHK, 2017-2018 first term
