1978 Mathematics Alumus Li Sze-lim Scholarships

Mr. Li Sze-lim, 1978 Mathematics alumus, has been supporting student summer research activities organized by the Department of Mathematics since 2006. In April 2014, Mr. Li made a further donation to the Department to continue these activities. This scholarship is set up to award students of excellent academic performance, and to encourage research and education in mathematics.

• A maximal number of 20 scholarships will be awarded every academic year: 10 scholarships of HK$25,000 each for students to engage in summer research activities in Europe and North America and 10 scholarships of HK$7,000 each for students to engage in summer research activities in China and Asia.
• This scholarship will be granted to selected participants of the COSINE program, who should be undergraduate students with primary major in Mathematics (MATH) or Mathematics and Information Engineering (MIEG) admitted from Enrichment Mathematics, who are not in their first or final year of study.
