While the primary mission of The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library is to serve the academic and research needs of the faculty, students and staff of the University, individuals who have research needs but not currently members of the CUHK may apply for the use of the Library with charges.
Library privileges are granted on a personal basis only and may not be used by or on behalf of anyone else. Users are responsible for complying with Library regulations and for all fees and losses incurred. The Library reserves the right to deny use to individuals that abuse library privileges or in any way infringe on the priority rights of CUHK staff or students. Also, please note that remote or off-campus access to library electronic resources is not applicable to fee-based library membership users. However, fee-based library membership users can enjoy onsite access to most library e-resources using library computer terminals.
Please note that all Library Card holders must abide by any CUHK campus access measures/restrictions, including any infection control measures, when using the Library Card. Please also note that once a Library Card is issued, the Library may share the personal data of the library card holder with the University when and as requested.

Category A: Teaching/administrative/professional staff and students of tertiary educational/academic institutions, staff of the Hong Kong government bodies, and researchers in non-profit organizations who have research needs
