Over 30 Research Centres dedicated to solid, creative and impactful humanities scholarship.
In 2005, the Chinese University of Hong Kong established the Centre with the Fo Guang Shan Foundation for Buddhist Culture and Education to facilitate the exchange of Humanistic Buddhism academia and nurture young Buddhist scholars.
Jointly established by the Guangdong Zhongbo Academy of Buddhist Cultural Propagation and CUHK, the Centre is a unique hub for comparative and multidisciplinary research on religious ethics in the Chinese context.
Jointly established by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), the Centre seeks to develop newly-established and current grammar and apply linguistic theorems and methods into Chinese language teaching.
Established in 1971, RCT is one of the foremost research centres in the field of translation and translation studies. It aims to promote Chinese literature internationally through high-quality translation works, and foster pioneering research and nurture the finest young talents in the discipline.
RIH has been serving as an independent research arm of the Faculty to enhance the performance of humanities research. In the foreseeable future, RIH will be seen playing a more pivotal role in fostering exchanges and collaborations, particularly cross-disciplinary exchanges with the potential to breed collaborative research projects or shed lights on new research directions.
