STUDIES IN CHINESE LINGUISTICS (SCL) was first published by T.T. Ng Chinese Language Research Centre of the Institute of Chinese Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1980, with its initial focus being on the research of historical Chinese linguistics and Chinese language education. Since 2012, SCL has been uniquely positioned as an international journal dedicated to publishing high quality research papers on comparative studies of Chinese grammar, which we hope will serve as an international forum for parametric studies aimed at enriching our understanding of Chinese. Starting from Volume 36 in 2015, SCL is published and distributed by De Gruyter Open.
