Call for Applications: MCQST Postdoc Fellowships in Munich, Germany (Deadline: 22 January 2023)

The Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) is offering two postdoctoral fellowships in quantum science and technology.

 

1. Distinguished Postdoc Fellowship (Deadline: 22 January 2023)
The fellowship aims to fund excellent female postdoctoral researchers. MCQST offers funding for one year, on the condition that the host MCQST group commits to funding an additional year through other means. For further information, please visit the webpage.

 

2. Junior Researcher START Fellowship (Deadline: 22 January 2023)
The fellloship aims to support young talents on their transition from postdocs to independent researchers. With a total budget of EUR 300,000 for a period of two years, the fellows have the opportunity to start their own scientific project in one of the research areas of MCQST. About MCQST
MCQST is a cluster of excellence funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) uniting Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München (LMU), Technical University of Munich (TUM), the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ), the Walther-Meißner-Institute (WMI) and the Deutsches Museum (DM) in their endeavour to build a world-leading center in Quantum Science and Technology (QST).

MCQST comprises more than 60 research groups from disciplines such as physics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, material science, and chemistry. Its research programme is organised in seven research units, covering all areas of QST from basic research to applications.
