Tripartite funding scheme launched to fuel sustainability research
The inaugural UQ-CUHK-Exeter Joint Fund awards two projects on environmental sustainability.
CUHK, The University of Queensland (UQ), and the University of Exeter (Exeter) are world leading in environmental science with a strong dedication to advancing sustainable development. Following the success of the joint virtual symposium and exploratory workshop last November, the three universities launched a joint fund to kickstart collaborative research projects in Environmental Sustainability that would leverage the universities’ collective strengths and have the potential to attract external funding. Activities supported include visits, workshops, field works, data collection, and research experiments, among others.
Two awards were made for a project led by CUHK in Marine Science and another one led by Exeter in Climate Change, with each project receiving approximately HK$140,000. They are:
