Professor Daniel Z. Long and his collaborators, Professor Jin Qi from HKUST and Dr. Aiqi Zhang who graduated from our Ph.D. program in 2021 summer and is now a post-doc fellow at the University of Toronto, won the First Prize in the Best Paper Award at the 14^th CSAMSE Conference (International Annual Conference of the Chinese Scholars Association for Management Science and Engineering), July 21-July 22, 2022.

The title of the paper is “Supermodularity in Two-Stage Distributionally Robust Optimization.”

COSMO 2022 is co-organized by the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Department (SEEM) and The Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) for all high school students.The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to actively study mathematics and hence tries to improve their ability in building system model, use of mathematical method and computer technology to solve problem.
