Re: SCIENCE Programme – Declaration of Major (Phase I)

Dear Student,

Declaration of Major (Phase I) will take place from 10 to 17 October 2022.  Students who have fulfilled the following prescribed requirements are eligible to register their major^# via CUSIS under “Science Major Registration” within the above-mentioned period.  System will check the fulfilment of the requirement for registration of the major.

# Students who are interested in Biology and Chemistry / Chemistry and Biology Double Major Programme should refer to the email from the Faculty of Science sent in mid-September 2022 for the requirements and procedures of major declaration.

A) Students who have obtained Level 5 or above in a HKDSE subject specified below by the Major Programme. 

* Both subject and specified component have to be Level 5 or above

B) Students who have been granted course exemption for the course specified below by the Major Programme.

C) Students admitted via “Gao Kao” who have obtained 88% or above in JEE total score.

Please note that this major registration is irrevocable.  Should you wish to change to another major subject after this exercise, you must apply in accordance with the guidelines and procedures of the University, which will be announced around mid-May 2023.  Students wishing to take more time to explore their interest and aptitude can opt to register their major subject at a later time, i.e. at the end of Year 1 or Year 2.  For details, please refer to the Science Faculty website.
