CUHK Students Sweep Awards in the 7th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition
Students of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) actively participated in the 7th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. A total of 15 teams won awards in the competition. The final judging and public exhibition were held at Hong Kong Science Park on 28 and 29 May.
The Competition has two categories, namely “Innovation” and “Entrepreneurship”. In the Innovation category, CUHK students won 2 first-class awards, 2 second-class awards, 5 third-class award, and 3 merit awards. In the Entrepreneurship category, CUHK students received 1 third-class awards and 2 merit awards.
The competition was organized by the Hong Kong New General Cultural Association. The winning innovation projects will represent Hong Kong in the “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest. The winner of entrepreneurship projects will enter the China International College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and/or the “Challenge Cup” (Chuang Qing Chun) China College Students Entrepreneurship Competition. 2021 Student Summer Programmes Now Open for Application
CEO will continue to organize student interflow programmes in collaboration with various mainland and Taiwan partner institutions and organisation this summer, providing earning opportunities to CUHK full-time students. Details are set out as below:

Research Student Joint Supervision Program Opens for Application
To further promote academic and student exchanges between CUHK and its partner institutions in the Mainland and Taiwan, The China Engagement Office (CEO) will launch a new “Research Student Joint Supervision Program”. We invite all CUHK academic members to make nomination and join this programme. The visit period is scheduled to start in September 2021.
Under the new Programme in 2021-2022, the supervision period will be increased to one year to ensure ample academic and research exchanges for participating students as well as to benefit both institutions. Interested academic staff can first liaise with their partner institutions to identify suitable postgraduate students and discuss the arrangement of joint supervision. CEO will provide administrative support for students joining the programme to ensure smooth operation.
