Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre Visits State Key Laboratory of CUHK
A 3-meｍber delegation of Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre (BHKAEC) led by Mr. Hsu Hoi-Shan, Director and President of BHKAEC visited the State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 17 June. The delegates met with Professor Lam Hon-Ming and Dr. Lucia Liu, Director and Assistant Director of the Laboratory for exchange.
The State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology was established in 2008 with the approval from the Ministry of Science and Technology. It aims to build a world class international research center in China to uplift China’s agricultural technology, increase agricultural productivity, safeguard national food security, and improve people’s nutrition. China Association for Science and Technology Visits CUHK
A delegation of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 25 June, to learn more about the research development of CUHK. The CAST delegation included Mr. Guo Zhe and Mr. Song Yurong, Director and Deputy Director of the Department of Research and Publicity; Mr. Meng Ling-Yun, Director of Publicity Office and Mr. Wang Bao-Hui, Director of Division of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Exchanges. CUHK representatives met with the delegates, including Professor Rocky Tuan, Vice-Chancellor; Professor Chan Wai-Yee and Professor Sham Mai-Har, Pro-Vice-Chancellors; Professor Wong Kam-Fai, Associate Dean of Faculty of Engineering; and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China).
Professor Tuan introduced the recent achievements of CUHK to the delegation, and the two parties had discussions on enhancing bilateral collaboration. Through the visit, the delegation gained more knowledge about the developments of CUHK and both parties strengthened ties for further collaboration.
